The Ill Effects of Worrying

One of the most common thought patterns of the majority is worrying about something. If it’s not what will happen during the day, then it’s about what may or may not happen in the future or what happened in the past. We are natural worriers, and this causes stress. From stress comes upset stomach, loss of appetite, headaches, excessive consumption of food, alcoholic beverages, drugs, and even sex, among many other symptoms. We do what we can to stop worrying but we go about it the wrong way.

If we tried to stay busy and focus on more positive things in life, then we won’t be causing our bodies to break down.

The Ill Effects of Staying Idle and Not Thinking At All

Nothing good can come from constantly letting time pass idly by. Not only are you opening your mind to nasty thoughts, you are also not accomplishing anything. You could try looking forward to the day, plan your activities so that you don’t waste your time. By staying idle and not being productive, you are failing to take care of yourself. This doesn’t include R&R which should come on a short term basis once a week over the weekend, and once a year on a more extended period. In short, the more active we are mentally, the more likely we stay on the go and get some form of exercise, even if it’s just eating right and exercising a bit.

The Ill Effects of Gossip

Gossip is never positive, even if it brings a sense of relief of being able to unburden yourself of a juicy tidbit. The effects are rippling and long lasting. Furthermore, it will come back to haunt you in one form or another. This is not good for your health and once you become known as a gossip, people will talk about you. What goes around, comes around and you will soon find yourself in the middle of a controversy. This will affect your health because you wouldn’t want to be seen or heard. You wouldn’t want to even get out of bed. The most common excuse is the “need to hibernate.” Have you ever used that excuse before? If you were honest to yourself, the real reason is wanting to stay away from people and feeling the need to hide.
